The Sand Dollar Saloon and Grill on College Avenue in Elmira, NY is inviting you to "Party like an animal for the animals." All week long from Dec. 13 through Dec. 19, the business will host nightly fundraisers to raise money for the Chemung County Humane Society and SPCA, Inc.
"We have been so touched this year by the number of interesting and creative fundraisers local businesses have held on our behalf," said Barbara McLean, Executive Director of Chemung County SPCA. "This week of fundraising events hopes to raise $5,000, which would the help us reach our $350,000 fundraising goal for this year."
Currently, the Chemung SPCA has raised 80 percent of its fundraising goal. With the public's support, these events will greatly help the organization reach its goal by the end of the year.
"I'm a big animal lover," said Alissa Stermer, owner of the Sand Dollar. "We were looking for a fun way to give back that would encourage the community and patrons to participate. I think this week will be really fun and raise a lot of money for the Chemung County SPCA."
