Get ready for Rescues and Runways! The Chemung County Humane Society and SPCA, Inc. is happy to announce that the shelter is partnering with maurices clothing store in Big Flats to hold a fashion show to spotlight adoptable animals. The show will be held on Saturday, Oct. 10 at the Big Flats Community Center. The event will run from noon to 2 p.m. and the show will start at about 12:30 p.m.
"We are so excited to take part in this creative event," said Barbara McLean, executive director of the Chemung County SPCA. "This will be a great way to showcase some of our adoptable animals and highlight what we do for the community."
The event is free and open to the public. Community members are invited to bring an item for the animals to receive a maurices coupon. There will be food provided by Cuppity Cake and the SPCA will be onsite with adoption applications and information. This is just another way the community can help the Chemung County SPCA reach its $350 thousand fundraising goal for the year.
