The Chemung County Humane Society and SPCA, Inc. is a private, non-profit humane organization. Since 1891, the Chemung County SPCA has been the only not-for-profit organization devoted to the care of the stray, homeless, abused and abandoned animals of Chemung County.
In fact, more than 75 percent of our operating budget depends entirely on contributions from our community. We are not a county agency nor state affiliation, but are funded by donations, bequests, fees and dog control contracts with Chemung County and most of the townships in Chemung County.
To enhance the quality of life for companion animals in Chemung County and surrounding areas.
The Chemung County Humane Society & SPCA envisions a time when loving and lifelong homes will be provided for all homeless companion animals in our community.
